Hello, I’m Mike!
My friends call me Mike D!

I’m an artist and father of two wonderful boys living in Savannah, GA. Originally hailing from West Virginia, I lived in Asheville, North Carolina for nearly 18 years before moving to coastal Georgia in 2017.

Since as long as I can remember I’ve wanted to be an artist, and would draw and create every chance I could get. My first exposure to graphic design came from reading skateboarding magazines as a teenager, and I was fascinated by how the photos, graphics and typography were composed on a page to create an advertisement. While attending art school at West Virginia State University I discovered a passion for the graphic arts, and creating visual art and design on a computer came naturally to me.

Printmaking has also become a recent self-taught love of mine. The carving of my images into linoleum blocks and printing on paper or fabric is such an exhilarating process for me. Printmaking summons the “artsy” side of me that I need in life.

My true self and happy place is when I’m submersed in nature and engaged in outdoor activities. I draw inspiration and positive energy from that each day. Some of my favorite things to do outside are surfing, trail running, mountain biking (anything bikes!), hiking, camping/backpacking, snowboarding, paddling and fishing.
